About Get up! Exercise Reminder
Hours at a desk add up — and sitting too long is its own health risk. Get Up! is a free macOS menubar timer that reminds you to stand, stretch, and move throughout your workday. It lives in the menu bar, not the Dock: a quiet countdown until your next movement break.
Menubar timer, zero clutter
Left-click to start or pause. Right-click for settings. No dock icon, no dashboard, no social feed — just a timer that stays out of your way until it is time to move. When the countdown hits zero, Get Up! suggests a desk-friendly exercise with clear reps and duration.
Exercise snacks at your desk
- Air squats — 20–30 reps in one minute
- Push-ups — 15–20 reps
- High knees — 1–2 minutes running in place
- Lunges — 10–15 per side
- Mountain climbers — 45–60 seconds
- Plank holds — 1–2 minutes
- Jumping jacks — 30–40 reps
- Burpees — 10–15 reps
- Wall sits — hold for one minute
- Shadow boxing — one-minute burst

- Will the timer start automatically each morning?
- Yes. Set a scheduled daily start time and pair it with Launch at Login for a hands-off routine.
