About Get up! Exercise Reminder

"Being sedentary is an independent risk factor for cancer. So, there is reason to break up your sedentary time with exercise snacks." - Dr. Rhonda Patrick

Get Up! is a lightweight menubar timer for macOS that reminds you to stand up, stretch, and move throughout your workday.

It sits quietly in your menubar — no dock icon, no clutter. Just a simple countdown that lets you know when it's time to take a break. Left-click to start or pause. Right-click for options. That's it.

WHEN THE TIMER HITS ZERO

Get Up! displays an exercise suggestion with clear, actionable instructions:

• Air Squats — 20-30 reps in 1 minute
• Push-Ups — 15-20 reps
• High Knees — 1-2 minutes of running in place
• Lunges — 10-15 per side
• Mountain Climbers — 45-60 seconds
• Plank Holds — 1-2 minutes
• Jumping Jacks — 30-40 reps
• Burpees — 10-15 reps
• Wall Sits — hold for 1 minute
• Shadow Boxing — 1-minute burst

Each exercise is designed to be done right at your desk with no equipment needed.
